Jelly Bean Reimagined with Android 4.2

Android 4.2: Something tangy in the box now
Android Application Development scenario has gone much bigger now. With the advent of its newer versions Android always amazes us. This time it has given new leap to application development on Android.

Smartest: as it is simple, smooth and fast
Many users on a single tablet
It’s all yours, tremendously customizable. With support for multiple users, you can give each person their own space. Everyone can have their own home screen, background, widgets, apps and games – even individual high scores and levels! And since Android is built with multitasking at its core, it’s a snap to switch between users – no need to log in and out.
Android Training can also be equipped with all these stuff & features and the aspirants can focus some new concepts on Android App Development in the Android Workshop.

Amazing 360 degree camera: named as PhotoSphere
Everywhere you want to click. With Android 4.2, snap pictures in every direction that come together into incredible, immersive 360 look and gives a tremendous 3D look to your photos. View your photo spheres right on your phone, share them on Google+ with your friends and family, or even add them to Google Maps for the world to see. Photo Sphere automatically stitches the images on high and wide in a panoramic surround. The camera application joins other novelty is the possibility to open the camera directly from the lock screen. The lock-screen also gains support widgets.

A smarter keyboard, now with Gesture Typing
Glide, Slide and Write – just glide your finger over the letters you want to type, and lift after each word. You don’t have to worry about spaces because they’re added automatically for you.
The keyboard can anticipate and predict the next word, so you can finish entire sentences just by selecting suggested words.
Android's dictionaries are now more accurate and relevant. With improved text-to-speech capabilities, voice typing on Android is even better. It works even when you don't have a data connection, so you can type with your voice everywhere you go.

Before you start, be sure you have your development environment set up.
You need to:
  • Download the Android SDK.
  • Install the ADT plug-in for Eclipse (if you’ll use the Eclipse IDE).
  • Download the latest SDK tools and platforms using the SDK Manager.

You're ready to develop your android application. The Android software development kit (SDK) includes a complete set of development tools. Android App Ideas

Review for Android App : BookMyShow

BookMyShow is one of the best website for booking tickets and passes for movies and lots more. They have released an app for solving this purpose on mobile phones as well.

This time I have reviewed the Android App and checked how well it fits on the ground.
Last Year when i was near Mumbai, i wanted to watch a movie, i downloaded and used this app, the app was nice and very user friendly but i couldn't make-it to the show as my route was diverted from Pune to New Delhi

What it does? :

You can get tickets prices, tickets and schedules for:
  • Movies
  • T20 Cricket
  • F1 Races
  • Arts & Auctions
  • Plays & Concerts

  • How it works?
Whenever you open the app, it gets the splash of BookMyShow with different icons on it.
And then comes on to the main screen of the app,

The way this app helped:

Step 1(Select You Mood)

I have chosen Movies from Home Tab,

which has four major categories:

First is MoviesSecond is Arts & TheatreThird is SportsAnd the Fourth which is about to come: Events

You can choose any option according to your own choice.

At the bottom of the screen, there are four tabs:

        1. Home: takes you back to this screen.

        2. Booking History: where you can see past transactions

        3. Help: complete and extensive help in case of refund and other queries

        4. About Us : Version Description

Step 2: (Select The Watchables)
Next screen is the different types of the movies available. I have selected my location from the top right hand corner and the movies came listed on the same page.

Step 3: (Your Place, Your Time)

Third is the Date and Showtime chooser on the same page you can find the ratings and cast info of the movie you selected in “MoreInfo” tab.

Step 4: (Check your Pocket-Size)

Select the ticket Category you want to choose from here whichever is available in the Cinema Hall you have chosen.(As per the rules its not legal to show the prices of a category)

Step 5: (Select your own Viewing Angle)

Different colors are given to different status of the seats.

Step 6: (Payment Page)

Several options to pay ranging from Credit to Cash Card.

Step 7: (Happy Viewing)

Once done with Payment, You’ll get a ticket number and Transaction Id for the record within the app, on the Mobile Number and e-mail address you have mentioned at the time of payment.

You can also make these kind of applications in our Hands-on workshops conducted throughout India, stay in touch and get benefited. You do have a Developer in you, All you need is a guidance and proper care.

Signing-off now,

will come back with more reviews and new on Android Application Development.

Panda vs. Penguin

SEO is short for "search engine optimization." To have your site optimized for the search engines means to attempt to have top placement in the results pages whenever a specific keyword is typed into the query box.
SEO is the process of improving the visibility of a website or a web page in an organic manner. In general, when a site has higher ranked on the search results page, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine's users. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, video search, news search and industry-specific vertical search engines.

Getting higher rank on search result page was very easy but now, it has been difficult due to Panda and Penguin update. Follow the blog and get updated with us and to get solution of this.
Panda v/s Penguin
The Google Panda 3.9 Update launched on July 24, 2012. Basically, Panda updates are designed to target pages that are not necessarily spam but are not great quality. This was the first ever penalty that went after “thin content,” and the sites that were hit hardest by the first Panda update were content farms (hence why it was originally called the Farmer update), where users could publish dozens of low-quality, keyword stuffed articles that offered little to no real value for the reader. Many publishers would submit the same article to a bunch of these content farms just to get extra links.
Panda is a site wide penalty, which means that if “enough” (no specific number) pages of your site were flagged for having thin content, your entire site could be penalized. Panda was also intended to stop scrappers (sites that would republish other company’s content) from outranking the original author’s content.

The Google Penguin Update launched on April 24, 2012. According to the Google blog, Penguin is an “important algorithm change targeted at webspam. The change will decrease rankings for sites that we believe are violating Google’s existing quality guidelines.” Google mentions that typical black hat SEO tactics like keyword stuffing (long considered webspam) would get a site in trouble, but less obvious tactics (link incorporating irrelevant outgoing links into a page of content) would also cause Penguin to flag your site.

Camera. Reborn

Samsung Galaxy Camera has just been unveiled. Our reviewers had a little hands-on time with the new Galaxy Camera, and the first thing that strikes is that this is a capable, high-quality point-and-shoot. The device feels extremely solid and well built, and the 4.8-inch HD SuperLCD display is of similar quality to the S3's.

Samsung Android Camera

We shouldn't forget that this is a camera powered by Android. Samsung has put their latest version of the Touchwiz Nature UX on there, based on Android 4.1. Yes, that's right, this is a camera running Jelly Bean. The possibilities with a connected camera are pretty exciting, and we're seeing the start of a whole new category of devices.

Of course, image quality remains to be seen. However, with a 16-megapixel sensor and 20X optical zoom, Samsung looks to have created a compelling alternative to smartphone cameras for those looking to graduate from the world of smartphone photography.

Google patents new object recognition technology

A new patent from Google could potentially change the way we publish videos onto the net in the future. What is this patent exactly? It’s known as “automatic large scale video object recognition.”

This object recognition technology works in a similar way to other face recognition techniques, but it takes things a step further. How so? It can actually recognize the difference between a variety of objects, not just human faces.

Whether you are talking about a cat or even a bike, the patent is designed to recognize it. After recognizing an object it then labels it with certain tags. If you are wondering how it does this, there is a special object name repository involved. This database would hold at least 50,000 object names, information and shapes that would allow for easy identification.

Essentially this is just another way to tag and better track videos for things like SEO. Ultimately it makes it easier for YouTube and Google to tag and track videos, but it also could make it easier for us to search for them. The system would still allow for manual tagging of objects and animals, but would do a lot of the work itself through an automated process.
It’s unclear when and where exactly object recognition technology will be put into place, though it is pretty much guaranteed to make its way over to YouTube.

Make free Calls From Android Devices With Groove IP

Add caption
GrooVe IP is an android app that connects to Google Voice using Voice over IP (VoIP). What this means for you is you can make free unlimited calls to any phone in the US or Canada without using your voice minutes. GrooVe IP works on any android device, phone or tablet, and allows you to make calls using the device’s data (WiFi or mobile data) connection. If you have a smartphone with Wi-Fi connectivity but no mobile plan, you can use this app to convert it to a free, full-featured working phone.

The quest for making free calls over WiFi with an Android device is not a new topic, but if you’ve gone down this road you’re probably familiar with apps like sipdroid or csipsimple. If those two names are familiar then you also know you had to deal with Google Voice Callback, pbxes, or SIP accounts and possibly some other forwarding trickery to get the app to work. It’s possible that you’ve even tried to set these apps up and failed after not understanding exactly what needed to be done. Enter GrooVe IP, where all you need is a Google Voice account to get started. If you like simple and something that just “works” and works well, hit up the break for more.

GrooVe IP works similar to making calls from Gmail by connecting directly to Google Voice to make and receive calls. This means that all you’ll need to use the app is a Google Voice account that is linked to a Gmail account and you’re good to go.

After installing GrooVe IP, you’ll simply need to login with your Google Voice credentials. You’ll also need to go into your Google Voice settings and check off forwarding to Google Chat. Doesn’t get much easier than that right? It’s recommended that you sign out of Google Chat  or Google Talk while using the app, but leaving Google Talk signed in on my Android device never posed any issues. I also have my Google Voice number forwarded to other places besides Google Chat and this posed no issues when receiving a call.

You’ll have the choice of either using GrooVe IP’s dialer or your native dialer to place calls. When using your own dialer, you’ll be prompted to use GrooVe IP or the mobile network itself. Personally, We prefer the look of the native dialer and there didn’t seem to be any loss of functionality by doing so. Incoming calls however will use GooVe IPs system, but there is nothing wrong with that system as everything from the dial pad to options like Mute and Blutooth worked as expected.

Generally, Many of you are facing of speed over 3G/2G services. So, we suggest you to sick to WiFI calls quality for review purposes. A feature that We have found very useful of this app that if 3G calling is turned off within the app (which it is by default), GrooVe IP only connects when WiFi is connected. GrooVe IP connects and logs in once a WiFi signal is connected.

You can also set a preference for your native dialer to always use GrooVe IP to place a call if you are connected to WiFi. The call quality would absolutely be fantastic.

A last huge positive for this app is that the developer is very active in both communication and app fixes. Also note that since GrooVe IP is connecting directly to Google’s servers, both incoming and outgoing calls will use your GV number.
So, if you’re looking for a solid calling solution and want to just log in and call, then this is the app for you.
You can download this app here. It’s lite version is free to use. But if you want to use all functionalities than youcan doby the QR code below.
